The next film from Chloe Okuno, who directed the “Storm Drain” segment in our V/H/S/94, is titled Watcher, and we’ve got a release date from IFC Midnight for you this afternoon.
Watcher stars Maika Monroe (The Guest, It Follows) as a young woman who moves into a new apartment with her fiancé and is tormented by the feeling that she is being stalked by an unseen watcher in an adjacent building. IFC Midnight will release it on June 3, 2022.
Meagan Navarro reviewed Watcher for BD, calling it an “atmospheric and stylish paranoid thriller.” You can also read a lengthy interview with director Chloe Okuno here.
Karl Glusman, Burn Gorman, and Ciubuciu Bogdan Alexandru also star.
Zack Ford wrote the script, and producers include Roy Lee, Steven Schneider, Derek Dauchy, John Finemore, Aaron Kaplan, Mason Novick.
