[Trailer] VR Horror Title ‘Deadness’ Confines You to a Wheelchair to Escape Zombies

More VR horror is headed your way this month with ALIEN Studio’s Deadness, which takes a cue from VR Bros’ A Wake Inn in its wheelchair-bound protagonist. Only this time, instead of living dolls, you’ll be wheeling away from the living dead in an abandoned research facility.

Per DreadXP, the game will arrive February 22nd for Steam VR, Viveport, and the Valve Index. There’s not much to the story of Deadness: You find yourself confined to a wheelchair in the aforementioned old research facility, with no memory of how you got into the facility, or even where the facility is located. Oh, and you just so happen to have zombies wandering around looking for a snack.

Seeing as you’re confined to your wheelchair in Deadness, you’ll have to make use of your hands to push your wheelchair around. It only serves to ramp up the game’s realism. ALIEN Studio says that it’s taken great pains to get this realism right with the intuitive controls, naturalistic graphics, and the “utterly helpless” feeling. That also includes being unable to fight the zombies roaming around the facility.

Have fun!
