Cold Iron Studios has kicked off the third season of content for their co-op shooter Aliens: Fireteam Elite with a brand-new trailer. Available now, the third season free update for Fireteam Elite includes a new class for players with which to stomp some bugs, as well as new weapons, cosmetics, perks and more.
For those that love class customization, players now have access to 15 new Perks. There are two for each class, and 3 universal Perks available for all class kits. And speaking of classes, the new Lancer class focuses on stationary firepower, as well as providing passive buffs to accuracy and damage output when standing still or in cover. The Lancer’s active abilities include a damage overclock that comes at the cost of movement speed, and a new Particle Lance which can blow through targets.
As for new weapons, you’ve got a pistol that functions like an SMG, a heavy rifle, a heavy flamethrower, and a flechette SMG for rifle users. As well, the update introduces a quality-of-life feature in the form of custom loadout presets. Players will now be able to save different kit and weapon loadouts for each class in order to outfit for different missions and game types.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite is available for PC via Steam, Xbox Series, Xbox One and Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
