‘The Things You Kill’ Trailer – Canada’s Surreal Oscar Submission Hits Theaters in November

Lynchian surrealism meets Turkish culture in the trailer for The Things You Kill.

The Turkish-language psychological thriller opens in select theaters on November 14 via Cineverse and Fandor.

The film won Directing Award in World Cinema Dramatic at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and was selected as Canada’s submission for Best International Feature Film at the 98th Academy Awards.

Questioning the suspicious death of his mother, a university professor and his enigmatic gardener descend into a hypnotic maze of mirrors and memories. As family secrets surface and painful truths emerge, they spiral toward a devastating reckoning with the darkness lurking within us all.

The international co-production between Canada, Turkey, Poland, and France is written and directed by Toronto-based filmmaker Alireza Khatami.

Ekin Koç, Erkan Kolçak Köstendil, Hazar Ergüçlü, Ercan Kesal, Güliz Sirinyan, Aysan Sümercan, and Serhat Nalbantoglu star.

The Things You Kill currently boasts a 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
