Dragonis Games’ Lovecraftian horror adventure title The Shore launched on PC way back in 2021. And after five long years, the game is finally headed to PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series with The Shore: Enhanced Edition later this year. Through a publishing partnership with Iphigames, The Shore: Enhanced Edition has been fully adapted for modern console platforms. Further details on the game are expected at a later date.
“Five years ago, we released The Shore and introduced players to a world of cosmic dread,” says Ares Dragonis, founder of Dragonis Games. “Bringing the Enhanced Edition to consoles is
both a celebration of that journey and an opportunity to share this nightmare with an entirely new audience. We’re grateful to everyone who has supported the game since 2021, and excited to welcome console players to the shore.”
For those not familiar, The Shore is a first-person title that blends exploration and environmental puzzles in a world shaped by ancient gods and forbidden knowledge. Players take on the role of Andrew, a father searching for his missing daughter on a remote island abandoned by humanity. As he explores decaying ruins and twisted landscapes, reality begins to fracture. The island hides secrets older than time, and every step forward pulls him deeper into a nightmare shaped by fear, loss, and obsession.
Ancient gods lie hidden beneath the island, slowly changing the world above. Armed with strange artifacts and fragments of forbidden power, players must survive encounters with eldritch beings while uncovering the truth behind the island and Andrew’s daughter’s fate. Knowledge comes at a terrible cost.
Currently, The Shore is available on Steam.
