“The Last of Us” Scares Up Golden Globes Nomination for Best TV Series; Pedro Pascal Also Nominated

The nominations for the 2024 Golden Globe Awards were announced this morning, and fans of HBO’s “The Last of Us” will be happy to hear the series has been recognized.

The video game-based series has been nominated for Best Television Series – Drama, alongside “Succession,” “The Crown,” “The Diplomat,” “1932” and “The Morning Show.”

Additionally, “The Last of Us” leading man Pedro Pascal has been nominated in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Drama category.

Pascal will be competing against Brian Cox, Kieran Culkin and Jeremy Strong for “Succession,” as well as Gary Oldman for “Slow Horses” and Dominic West for “The Crown.”

“The Last of Us” is expected to return to HBO for Season 2 sometime in 2025.

Other genre projects up for Golden Globes next year include Poor Things, Society of the Snow, Saltburn, Dream Scenario, Beau Is Afraid, “The Curse” and “Dead Ringers.”
