‘The Flash’ – Character Poster for Michael Keaton’s Batman Takes Us Right Back to 1989

In the wake of last night’s brand new Super Bowl trailer for The Flash, official character posters have been released today. And yes, one of them puts Michael Keaton front and center!

Andy Muschietti (Mama, IT, IT: Chapter Two) directed The Flash for DC, and the film will notably bring Keaton‘s Batman/Bruce Wayne back to the screen for the first time since 1992. Keaton of course played Batman in two films: Tim Burton’s Batman and the sequel Batman Returns. Ben Affleck‘s Bruce Wayne/Batman will also be making an appearance in The Flash.

Ezra Miller is once again playing the title character in the upcoming WB/DC movie, which will see The Flash travel back in time and “inadvertently create another universe.” The film will explore the idea of a “multiverse” existing with the DC Cinematic Universe, allowing for Michael Keaton’s Bruce Wayne to serve as something of a mentor to the young Barry Allen.

The Flash is set for theatrical release on June 16, 2023.
