'Story Game' Trailer - Who Can Tell the Scariest Story?! [SCREAMBOX Exclusive]

The Bloody Disgusting-powered SCREAMBOX streaming service is kicking off summer with an Exclusive horror movie of our own, brand new anthology film Story Game now streaming.

The movie blurs the lines between reality and fantasy, written and directed by Jason K. Lau (The Tempest, Terrace House: Aloha State) and shot on location in Hawaii and Japan.

In Story Game, “On a camping trip in Hawaii, three fine art students make a bet: who can tell the best supernatural story? According to the rules, each tale must have three items: a metaphysical piece, a character with green eyes, and a Japan location. The three young campers try to outwit each other, as they bring three famous Japanese ghost stories to the world, and things take an eerie turn as each tale takes them deeper into the Story Game.”

Story Game is now streaming EXCLUSIVELY on SCREAMBOX.

Cyst popping horror movie

Gross-out horror movie Cyst has also exploded onto VOD outlets today, a gooey new creature feature from Raven Banner Entertainment that stars Troll 2 actor George Hardy.

In Tyler Russell’s Cyst, “Nurse Patricia works under an enthusiastic plastic surgeon who believes he’s invented a breakthrough cyst-removal machine and, against Patricia’s sound advice, will stop at nothing to patent it so it can be used for his patients. But when their differences turn into a physical altercation, damaging the machine, what started as Patricia’s last day on duty becomes a battle for survival after the doctor’s “Get Gone” cyst-removing invention inadvertently turns a patient’s tumor into a cyst-monster that terrorizes the office.”

Eva Habermann and Greg Sestero star alongside George Hardy.

Fresh out of last year’s Salem Horror Fest, So Vam is now available for streaming on VOD outlets, co-written, produced, and directed by then 16-year-old Alice Maio Mackay.

“Kurt is an outcast in a conservative town who dreams of moving to the city to be a famous drag queen. When he is kidnapped by a predatory old vampire and killed, he is rescued just in time to be resurrected by a gang of rebellious vampires who feed on bigots and abusers.”

Xai, Chris Asimos, Grace Hyland, Patty Glavieux, and Benjamin Putnam star in So Vam.

maika monroe watcher

Chloe Okuno‘s (V/H/S/94) new horror movie Watcher was released into theaters by IFC Midnight earlier this month, and now the film is available for Digital viewing at home.

Okuno directed the “Storm Drain” segment in our V/H/S/94.

In Watcher, Julia (Maika Monroe) joins her husband (Karl Glusman) when he relocates to his family’s native Romania for a new job. Having recently abandoned her acting career, she finds herself frequently alone and unoccupied. One night, people-watching from her picture window, she spots a vague figure in an adjacent building, who seems to be looking back at her.

“Soon after, while alone at a local movie theater, Julia’s sense of being watched intensifies, and she becomes certain she’s being followed — could it be the same unknown neighbor? Meanwhile, a serial killer known as The Spider stalks the city.”

Meagan Navarro reviewed Watcher for BD, calling it an “atmospheric and stylish paranoid thriller.” You can also read a lengthy interview with director Chloe Okuno here.

And finally, Devilworks has released Bad Blood on digital today.
