Techland Sends Off ‘Dying Light’ With Definitive Edition

All good things must come to an end, as they say. And in the case of Techland’s Dying Light, after seven years of support, the game will receive its final update today in the form of a new Definitive Edition of the game.

Dying Light: Definitive Edition contains the base game and 26 DLCs, including skin bundles and expansion packs. It will be available digitally on all platforms later today for massive discounts of up to 70% off, and current Platinum Edition owners will be upgraded to the Definitive Edition for free. The Nintendo Switch digital and physical release will come at a later date.

As a final thank you to fans, there will be one more free DLC available for Dying Light in the form of the Harran Tactical Unit Bundle. This new DLC will be available for a limited time, coming in two weeks’ time, and will be available on Steam, the Epic Games Store, GOG, the PlayStation Store, and the Microsoft Store on Xbox.

And don’t worry if you’re late to the party. Techland plans on keeping “a steady reroll” of previous events for you to enjoy.

Focus obviously now shifts to Dying Light 2, which Techland aims to devote the same level of attention and time towards post-launch content and fixes.
