Survival Horror VR Game ‘Dread Meridian’ Out Today on Meta, Steam VR [Trailer]

VR horror fans can dive into Level Infinite and developer KUKRGAME’s atmospheric Lovecraftian VR title Dread Meridian today on Steam VR and Meta Quest. Accompanying the release is the game’s customary launch trailer.

Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft‘s “At the Mountains of Madness”, Dread Meridian has players scavenging the frozen wasteland of Oglanbyen as Daniella, a researcher who ventures to the remote arctic island in a desperate search for her missing twin sister, Isabella. Players will scavenge for resources, solve cryptic puzzles and come face to face with unimaginable creatures while unravelling the mystery of Isabella’s disappearance. It’ll be up to players to choose how to best utilize their limited resources and customizable weapons to battle the island’s hostile monsters with intense VR combat and tactical decisions. When ammo is low, players can pull out their trusty knife and fight to their last breath.

PVP multiplayer for up to four players in VR will also be available at launch. Players will go through matches in teams of two, switching between humans and monsters, as they work together to take down the opposing team. Players can take the skills they’ve learned through the single-player campaign into multiplayer, and discover a whole new way to play Dread Meridian as they put themselves in the role of the game’s grueling monsters.
