“Stranger Things 5” Will Be the Show’s FINAL Season

Today has been a big day for “Stranger Things” news. For starters, “Stranger Things 4” will be coming to Netflix on May 27, with “Volume 2” of the new season arriving on July 1st.

Additionally, we’ve learned that Season 4 really is “the beginning of the end,” as the teaser posters have suggested. Because “Stranger Things” will only get one subsequent season.

Netflix has announced today that “Stranger Things 5” has officially been ordered up, and it’s set to be the FINAL season of the 80s-set series that has been a pop culture phenomenon.

“Seven years ago, we planned out the complete story arc for Stranger Things,” creators Matt and Ross Duffer said. “At the time, we predicted the story would last four or five seasons. It proved too large to tell in four, but — as you’ll soon see for yourselves — we are now hurtling toward our finale. Season 4 will be the penultimate season; season 5 will be the last.”

Of course, just because the main series is coming to an end doesn’t mean future “Stranger Things” projects aren’t on the way. Could we be seeing spinoff shows in the future?

The Duffer Brothers tease today, “There are still many more exciting stories to tell within the world of Stranger Things; new mysteries, new adventures, new unexpected heroes.”

When should you expect “Stranger Things 5”? Stay tuned for updates.
