As if you needed an incentive to pre-order EA’s upcoming remake of Dead Space, it’s now been revealed for Steam users that you’ll be getting a nice little bonus in the form of the original Dead Space 2! All you have to do is pre-purchase Dead Space between now and when the game launches on January 27th.
For those who have already pre-ordered the remake on Steam, no need to fret. The new offer will cover you, as well. While it’s kind of a bummer that it’s exclusive to those who pre-order the Steam version (sorry, Epic Games Store folks), those who snag the game on PlayStation or Xbox have the opportunity to grab the Collector’s Edition from Limited Run Games, which comes with a bevy of goodies on its own.
It’s also kind of strange that EA would offer up the original Dead Space 2 as a pre-order bonus instead of the original. But we can’t complain, seeing as how awesome Dead Space 2 is after all these years. Plus, if things go well, EA may just decide to forge ahead with a remake of Dead Space 2. You never know.
The Motive-developed Dead Space remake is set to arrive January 27, 2023 for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
