‘Spirit Halloween: The Movie’ Trailer Is Coming Soon; Will Debut at Midsummer Scream

The Halloween super store makes the leap to the screen with the upcoming Spirit Halloween: The Movie, which we expect to arrive sometime on the road to Halloween 2022.

What about the first trailer, you ask? Well, we’ve learned that it’s set to debut at Midsummer Scream later this month, presumably making its way online shortly thereafter.

Halloween & horror convention Midsummer Scream takes place July 29-31 in Long Beach, California, with the Spirit Halloween: The Movie teaser trailer being shown on July 31.

Christopher Lloyd and Rachael Leigh Cook star in the upcoming feature film.

David Poag directed Spirit Halloween, expected in October 2022.

Here’s the plot synopsis for the “family/kids adventure movie”…

“When a new Spirit Halloween store appears in a deserted strip mall, three middle-school friends who think they’ve outgrown trick-or-treating make a dare to spend the night locked inside the store Halloween night. But they soon find out that the store is haunted by an angry evil spirit who has possessed the creepy animatronic characters.

“The kids embark on a thrilling and spooky adventure in order to survive the night and avoid becoming possessed themselves.”

Donavan Colan (“Zoe”), Dylan Frankel (“Raven’s Home”), Jaiden Smith (“Blue Bloods”) and Marissa Reyes (“Raven’s Home”) will also star in Spirit Halloween: The Movie.

The film comes from Strike Back Studios, Hideout Pictures and Particular Crowd. “One of the reasons I immediately connected with the script is it is very much inspired by some of my favorite kid adventure films growing up from ‘The Goonies,’ ‘Gremlins,’ ‘Monster Squad’ and so many great films made by Amblin Entertainment,” said Noor Ahmed, president of Strike Back.
