One of the most iconic horror movie monsters of all time, the Creature is back in the upcoming official Universal Monsters comic series Creature from the Black Lagoon Lives!
From Robert Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment, Universal Monsters: Creature From The Black Lagoon Lives! is being written by Dan Watters (Lucifer) and Ram V (The Many Deaths of Laila Starr, Detective Comics). The news was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
THR details, “It will be a four-issue limited series. Matthew Roberts, co-creator of long-running Image title Manifest Destiny, is drawing the story with Dave Stewart as colorist.”
“The story sees journalist Kate Marsden hunt a notorious serial killer in the heart of the Amazon. Hot on the trail of this madman, she soon encounters an unexpected new threat – the Creature from the Black Lagoon – and must determine if he is friend or foe.”
Issue #1 will be swimming our way on April 24, 2024.
