‘Se7en’ Writer’s Satanic Slasher ‘Psycho Killer’ Hits Digital Next Week

From writer Andrew Kevin Walker (Se7en, Sleepy Hollow), Psycho Killer will be released on Digital next Tuesday, April 7, via 20th Century Studios.

Georgina Campbell (Barbarian) and James Preston Rogers (The Blackening) star alongside Grace Dove (The Revenant), Logan Miller (Escape Room), and Malcolm McDowell (Rob Zombie’s Halloween).

Following the brutal murder of her husband, a Kansas highway patrol officer sets out on a journey to track down the perpetrator. As the hunt progresses, she comes to realize the man responsible is a sadistic serial killer, and the depth of his mental depravity and his sinister agenda is more twisted than anyone could have imagined.

Veteran producer Gavin Polone (Zombieland, Panic Room) makes his feature directorial debut on the film.

Walker produces with Roy Lee (Weapons, Barbarian), Matt Berenson (The Boy, The Place Beyond the Pines), and Arnon Milchan (Fight Club, The Lighthouse). Executive producers include Martin Moszkowicz, Robert Kulzer, Yariv Milchan, Natalie Lehmann, and Kat Landsberg.

Psycho Killer is rated R for “strong bloody violence, strong sexual content, graphic nudity, drug use, and language.”

Meagan Navarro wrote in her review, “There are fleeting glimpses of personality that tease an entertaining horror movie buried somewhere deep within this flat, superficial, and incoherent rough draft. Instead it’s just a vapid, generic form of hell.”

Up next from Walker is Flesh of the Gods, Panos Cosmatos’ vampire thriller starring Wagner Moura and Kristen Stewart.
