Scripts Gone Wild Presents a Live Reading of ‘Black Christmas’ to Benefit Reproductive Rights

Bloody Disgusting has learned today that Scripts Gone Wild returns to El Cid on November 30 at 7pm for a Christmas-centric reading of the Bob Clark horror classic, Black Christmas.

“Seeing as how a key plot point of the film revolves around an unwanted pregnancy, the charity for this read is the Center for Reproductive Rights, an organization doing all it can to combat the recent overturning of Roe v. Wade and support the rights of women everywhere.”

Headlining the read are horror scream queen Tiffany Shepis (Tromeo & Juliet, Victor Crowley), actress and genre host Clarke Wolfe (Fear HQ), actor and comedian Edward Hong (Please
Stand By), and special guests to be announced. Rounding out the cast are SGW favorites Aaron LaPlante, Tristan Cunningham, Natalie Nicole Dressel, Rico E. Anderson, Chad Addison,
Alexis Iacono, and Frank Dietz. More casting to be announced soon.

Black Christmas is my favorite horror film of all-time,” said Scripts Gone Wild Artistic Director Billy Ray Brewton. “It’s the perfect kind of script for what we do with Scripts Gone Wild, and we can’t wait to break into some holiday shenanigans!” All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the charity. Scripts Gone Wild will receive any donations at the event, and sales from limited edition t-shirts that will be available for purchase.

Tickets can be purchased on the SGW website: www.scriptsgonewild.com.

Founded in 2017 at the Chattanooga Film Festival, Scripts Gone Wild began its live residency at El Cid on Sunset back in 2018 and have produced reads featuring: Joel McHale, Ross
Marquand, Traci Thoms, Karan Soni, Patrick Fabian, Chris Redd, and many more. The premise of the event is simple: Scripts Gone Wild takes a group of unsuspecting celebrities, influencers,
and filmmakers – put movie scripts and alcohol in their hands – and punishes them for line flubs, missed cues, and anything else that might elicit a laugh.

Scripts Gone Wild presents Black Christmas takes place Wednesday November 30th at 7pm PST (doors open at 6:30pm) at El Cid on Sunset (4212 Sunset Boulevard). General admission seating is $20, and VIP front row seating is $30, with discounted add-ons available for commemorative t-shirts.
