We are insanely excited to reveal all of the fresh horrors coming to SCREAMBOX this month, which include a trip of classic Warner Bros. titles, an extremely rare Bollywood remake of West Craven’s Scream, and two brand new SCREAMBOX Originals!
Three genre favorites from the Warner Bros. catalog have joined Screambox, including Body Snatchers, the incredible ’90s adaptation directed by Abel Ferrara (Bad Lieutenant, King of New York), and Killer Party, the classic 1986 slasher from Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter writer Barney Cohen!
The biggest surprise is SCREAMBOX worked feverishly to bring you India’s answer to Scream, Sssshhh, in which a masked killer meets musical numbers. The international slasher streams Exclusively on Screambox on February 3 along with two more Bollywood remakes: Naina, a supernatural horror inspired by The Eye, and Neighbours, a vampire tale that borrows from Fright Night!
SCREAMBOX Original Yellow Dragon’s Village arrives on February 7. An hour of grisly, claustrophobic terror, the Japanese indie channels The Hills Have Eyes and Hostel when a group of campers encounter a cannibal cult.
Spend Valentine’s Day with SCREAMBOX Original Ox-Head Village, the latest effort from The Grudge director Takashi Shimizu. The Japanese supernatural mystery follows a woman who investigates a cryptic viral video after recognizing herself in it.
Other new additions include Gothic horror The Awakening starring Rebecca Hall (The Prestige, Godzilla vs. Kong, The Night House, Resurrection); documentaries The Salem Witch Trials and The Loch Ness Monster; the CG-animated Tickles the Clown; the chilling domestic thriller Homebound; plus a secret film!
These titles join SCREAMBOX’s growing library of unique horror content, including Terrifier 2, Pennywise: The Story of IT, Dawning, In Dreams, Signal 100, PussyCake, Welcome to Hell, Masters of Horror, 13 Nights of Elvira, Hell House LLC, History of the Occult, and Toxic Crusaders.
