Sci-fi Surgical Horror Game ‘MALPRAXIS’ Begins Operations Q1 2026 [Trailer]

Sunscorched Studios are taking Surgeon Simulator fans to space with MALPRAXIS. Much like Bossa Games’ cult hit, MALPRAXIS is a first-person surgical horror game, but with the added bonus of taking players aboard the deep-space vessel TRH Rusanov.

You are the “bleeding-edge” autonomous surgical system known as the Surgical Procedure Intervention Diagnostic Emergency Response unit, or S.P.I.D.E.R., powered by a BCPU (Biological Central Processing Unit). You assist Chief Medical Officer Samuel Edwards across a series of semi-procedurally assembled shifts. You examine, diagnose, perform surgical procedures, and conduct forensic autopsies on the crew as conditions aboard the TRH Rusanov deteriorate.

You must treat the patients and keep the crew alive. Although Edwards will be there to support you, you will have to calibrate your algorithms quickly in order to get your patients through. And while Dr. Edwards has sworn a Hippocratic oath, every decision you make will have an effect on Dr. Edwards. You have the freedom leeway to set your own priorities during medical procedures. With your patients living or dying by your decisions. However, Edwards and his team will suffer the consequences of those losses.

If you lose a patient, you have to move on and live with according to what happened. You only get one chance to do things right. Fail too many times, and your memory is wiped, the trial is terminated, and the experiment begins again.

Look for MALPRAXIS on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
