Since we all need more cosmic horror in our lives, Prime Matter and developer Massive Work Studio are bringing to Gamescom 2021 their new sci-fi horror action RPG, Dolmen. The game is aiming for a 2022 release on Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series.
Dolmen focuses on an alien world known as Revion Prime. Your job is simple: bring back samples of a crystal with particularly unique properties. Namely, they have the ability to allow interaction between realities. You can probably guess what happens next.
Combat in Dolmen revolves around melee and ranged weapons. You’ll have to be smart and switch between the two effectively to survive. You also have to manage your energy. Not only is energy used for ranged weapons, but also for activating “Energy Mode”, which imbues your melee weapons with elemental status effects.
Dolmen will be showcased during the opening night Pre-Show on August 25 at 10:30 am PDT, and again during the Future Games Show on August 26 at 1:00 pm PDT.
