In connection with the nationwide theatrical release of Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures’ highly anticipated motion picture SAW X, in theaters Friday, the studios have created an all-new experience that brings the iconic SAW franchise to Roblox, the global immersive platform where millions of people connect and communicate daily.
With the recent evolution of Roblox to allow creation of experiences for people 17 and over, “SAW X: Survive the Obby” becomes the first immersive experience based on an R-rated movie or TV-MA rated television property and designed for people ages 17 and older on Roblox.
“Saw X: Survive the Obby” launches on October 1, 2023.
In “SAW X: Survive the Obby,” sponsored by Six Flags, users will face a set of virtual obstacle courses – an experience where they can play Jigsaw’s games, compete to complete his diabolically twisted puzzles, and escape his fiendish traps.
As they enter the world of SAW and compete against their friends and other community members, Roblox users who survive will have the opportunity to earn a spot on the leaderboard and unlock complimentary, limited edition themed fashion and accessory items for their avatars to show off across the Roblox platform. All visitors will be required to upload a selfie and a photo of a government-issued ID to verify that they are at least 17 in order to enter the experience.
In another first, in addition to experiencing SAW on the big screen and virtually, fans will also be able to live out SAW in real-life at Six Flags Fright Fest events in Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, and New Jersey. At these new Six Flags Fright Fest haunted houses, guests can try to escape some of Jigsaw’s most iconic killer traps, including traps featured in SAW X.

SAW is leading the way – this is the fans’ chance to live out the SAW experience for themselves. And oh yes, Roblox users, there will be blood.”
Both “SAW X: Survive the Obby” and the Six Flags Fright Fest SAW X horror mazes were designed by Pure Imagination, a leading entertainment company known for creating commercially successful digital and immersive location-based experiences inspired by world-renowned IP. The company teamed with game development agency Amber on the Roblox experience.
In anticipation of the launch, gamers can take part in an interactive livestream with Xbox that gives viewers everywhere the chance to become a SAW protagonist. Enter to win prizes, including the newly launched Xbox Series S – 1 TB in Carbon Black, a SAW Billy Puppet Prop, and 3 month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions.
The livestream will start at 11am PST today (9/27) on the Xbox Twitch channel.
