‘S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2’ Rumoured to Be Delayed to Fall 2022

Being that it’s one of our most anticipated games this year to play (and because it’s S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2), it’s now being rumoured that GSC Game World is delaying the long-in-development shooter from its April 28 release. Keep in mind the “rumoured” part, as neither Microsoft or GSC has confirmed this.

The rumour of the delay comes from Ukrainian leaker OLDboi, who has in the past leaked info for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and other GSC Game World games. According to the video below (which is entirely in Ukrainian), S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will be delayed to Fall 2022. The announcement of the delay (according to him) will be officially announced during the next gameplay presentation.

In addition to the delay, OLDboi also claims that the Xbox exclusivity will remain until late this year, meaning that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 would see a release on the PlayStation 5 either in late 2022, or early next year. The game will also make full use of the DualSense controller.

Again, none of this has been verified by Microsoft or GSC. So until we get some news from either of them, take this with your salt.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is currently in development for the Xbox Series and PC. The game will also be available via Xbox Game Pass on release day.
