Rob Zombie’s ‘The Munsters’ – NECA Turns Zombo Into an Action Figure!

Rob Zombie is bringing back classic character Zombo in The Munsters later this year, and Zombie has announced today that a Zombo action figure is on the way from NECA!

Zombie writes on Instagram, “This exclusive figure will be available only at the NECA booth at the San Diego Comic Con 7/20-7/24! 👍🏼This truly wicked Crumble Creature Crackers box is only available for limited time at the @necaofficial booth! 🔥 When they are gone, they are gonzo! 🦇 Get there early because these amazing figures are gonna go quick!”

Horror host Zombo, Eddie’s favorite television personality, was introduced in Season 2 of the original black & white series. The premise of the episode, fittingly titled “Zombo,” is that Herman Munster becomes jealous of how much Eddie loves Zombo, desperate to win back his son’s undivided attention. Hijinks ensue when he humorously tries to upstage Zombo.

Jeff Daniel Phillips is playing Herman Munster and Sheri Moon Zombie is playing Lily Munster in Zombie’s movie, with Daniel Roebuck co-starring as Grandpa Munster.

If you want to revisit the original series, “The Munsters” is streaming on Peacock. That series ran for just two seasons between 1964 and 1966, spawning several feature films and a sequel television series titled “The Munsters Today” (1988 – 1991). Most recently, Bryan Fuller’s “Mockingbird Lane” reimagined the series for NBC, but never made it past a pilot episode.
