A grieving mother travels through the multiverse in pursuit of vengeance in the trailer for Redux Redux.
Written and directed by brothers Kevin McManus & Matthew McManus (The Block Island Sound), the sci-fi revenge thriller hits theaters on February 20 via Saban Films.
In an attempt to avenge her daughter’s death, Irene Kelly travels through parallel universes, killing her daughter’s murderer over and over again. With each kill, she grows addicted to the revenge streak, putting her own humanity in jeopardy.
Michaela McManus (“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”), newcomer Stella Marcus, Jeremy Holm (“Mr. Robot”), Jim Cummings (Halloween Kills), Taylor Misiak (“Dave”), and Grace Van Dien (“Stranger Things”) star.
“Redux Redux is an unrelenting display of virtuosic filmmaking,” praised Saban Co-Presidents Jonathan Saba & Shanan Becker. “The tone, the performances, the storytelling. All first class. These guys will be directing massive studio tentpoles in no time.”
The film marks the first production from Mothership Motion Pictures, formed by the McManus brothers, PJ McCabe (The Beta Test), Nate Cormier (“Star Wars: The Clone Wars”), and Michael J. McGarry (The Wolf of Snow Hollow).
“Redux Redux takes the tired multiverse concept and makes it feel fresh through its gritty, grounded approach and tautly wound storytelling,” Meagan Navarro wrote in her review out of SXSW. “Slickly directed and cleverly told, Redux Redux makes for a dread-soaked and pleasantly unpredictable surprise of an indie sci-fi thriller.”
Redux Redux is rated R for “strong violence, language throughout, some sexual references, and brief drug use.”
