Samara Weaving is fighting for her life once again in Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, and Searchlight Pictures has released the official trailer for next year’s horror sequel today.

Samara Weaving is joined this time around by a killer cast including Kathryn Newton (Abigail), Sarah Michelle Gellar (“Dexter: Original Sin”), Shawn Hatosy (“The Pitt”), Elijah Wood (“Yellowjackets”), and even horror master David Cronenberg!
Ready or Not 2 opens in theaters April 10, 2026.
Here’s the official synopsis: “Moments after surviving an all-out attack from the Le Domas family, Grace (Samara Weaving) discovers she’s reached the next level of the nightmarish game — and this time with her estranged sister Faith (Kathryn Newton) at her side. Grace has one chance to survive, keep her sister alive, and claim the High Seat of the Council that controls the world. Four rival families are hunting her for the throne, and whoever wins rules it all.”
Néstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, Olivia Cheng, Varun Saranga, and Daniel Beirne also star.
Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are back to direct for Searchlight Pictures with a script by original Ready or Not writers Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy.
The first film in 2019 followed a young bride (Weaving) as she joined her new husband’s rich, eccentric family in a time-honored tradition that turned into a lethal fight for survival.
Samara Weaving teases that the sequel is “so unhinged, absolutely cooked. Those sicko writers came up with a way in that’s somehow both a natural progression and very surprising.”
