Fresh off the Oscar-nominated revenge movie Promising Young Woman, we’ve learned today that writer/director Emerald Fennell is gearing up to begin shooting her next movie.
Variety reports that Fennell’s new movie will be “a story of obsession,” which sounds like it could potentially fall somewhere in the horror/thriller genre. But that’s all we know for now.
The site adds, “Fennell is currently meeting with actors to cast for the top-secret project, and plans to begin filming this summer.” Fennell is writing, directing and producing the film.
The project is coming courtesy of MRC Film, with LuckyChap in talks to produce.
