A new poster for the upcoming A24 series “Hazbin Hotel” beckons you to check in early for hellish delights.
The adult animated series “Hazbin Hotel” began as a pilot written, produced, and directed by Vivienne “VivziePop” Medrano that went viral when it premiered three years ago on YouTube. The episode below currently has over 80 million views.
Medrano recently shared that the season will be coming in Summer 2023, along with a brand new poster teasing the upcoming release.
The series follows “Charlie, the princess of Hell, as she pursues her seemingly impossible goal of rehabilitating demons to peacefully reduce overpopulation in her kingdom. After a yearly extermination imposed by angels, she opens a hotel in the hopes that patients will be ‘checking out’ into Heaven. While most of Hell mocks her goal, her devoted partner Vaggie, and their first test subject, adult film-star Angel Dust, stick by her side. When a powerful entity known as the ‘Radio Demon’ reaches out to assist Charlie in her endeavors, her crazy dream is given a chance to become a reality.”
Less that a year after the pilot’s premiere on YouTube, A24 picked up “Hazbin Hotel” to develop the concept into a long-form television series. The series is produced by A24 and Fox Entertainment’s animation studio Bento Box Entertainment.
