From Rambo: Last Blood director Adrian Grünberg, The Black Demon is based on the Mexican legend of a massive Megalodon shark, and Bloody Disgusting has an exclusive first look at the action-horror movie’s official art and images this morning.
The Black Demon will release in theaters on April 28, 2023, and you can also watch the trailer here. In the film, Josh Lucas (The Forever Purge) battles a giant man-eating shark.
“Oilman Paul Sturges’ (Lucas) idyllic family vacation turns into a nightmare when they encounter a ferocious megalodon shark that will stop at nothing to protect its territory.
“Stranded and under constant attack, Paul and his family must somehow find a way to get his family back to shore alive before it strikes again in this epic battle between humans and nature.”
Josh Lucas stars alongside Fernanda Urrejola (Cry Macho) and Julio Cesar Cedillo (Sicario). Boise Esquerra wrote the script, from a story by Carlos Cisco.
