PC Version of ‘Death Stranding Director’s Cut’ Arrives March 30, Discounted Upgrade Available

You wanted it, you got it. After previously announcing Death Stranding Director’s Cut would be headed to PC this Spring, Kojima Productions and publisher 505 Games have now announced the release date of March 30 for Steam and the Epic Games Store for for $39.99. Not only that, they’ve also revealed the upgrade options for owners of the previous version.

Users who have already purchased the original Death Stranding on either Steam or the EGS will be able to upgrade to the Director’s Cut for $9.99. Not only that, but your save data from the base game can also be transferred to the Director’s Cut.

Keep in mind that in order to get the upgrade at that $9.99 price, you must have the Death Stranding already installed on your PC. At launch, when you go through to purchase the game from either Steam or the EGS, you will be presented with the upgrade price. If you don’t have the base game installed, you won’t get that discounted price.

As mentioned before, in addition to all of the crossover content with Cyberpunk 2077 and Half-Life, all copies of the Director’s Cut will also include:

  • Selections from “The Art of Death Stranding” digital book (by Titan Books)
  • Backpack patches
  • Bridges Special Delivery Team suit (Gold)
  • BB pod customization (Chiral Gold)
  • Power Gloves (Gold)
  • Bridges Special Delivery Team suit (Silver)
  • BB pod customization (Omnireflector)
  • Power Gloves (Silver)

Death Stranding Director’s Cut originally launched for the PlayStation 5 back in September 2021.
