The battle between Jaegers and Kaiju will continue in the pages of Pacific Rim: Final Breach.
The first volume in the three-part graphic novel saga will be published on May 5 via Legendary Comics.
Following the events of Pacific Rim Uprising, humanity faces its ultimate threat as the Precursors unleash a new wave of devastating Kaiju assaults on Earth.
After years of failed attempts to enter the Anteverse, the trans-dimensional realm from which all Kaiju emerge, Jake Pentecost and Hermann Gottlieb conceive a daring last-ditch plan whose success hinges on finding legendary Jaeger pilot Raleigh Becket — the only human being to ever survive behind enemy lines.
Living in exile off the grid, Raleigh must choose assured annihilation or confront his past and team up with a new generation to pilot the brand-new Gipsy Destroyer, the last Jaeger standing. Tensions escalate and old wounds reopen as the PPDC finally crosses the breach to confront what lies on the other side. It’s time for humanity to meet its true enemy and cancel the apocalypse once and for all.
Joshua Hale Fialkov (“Avatar: The Last Airbender”) writes with art by E.J. Su (Transformers) and colors by Rebecca Good (Power Rangers: Across the Morphin Grid). Cat Stagges created the cover art.
The comic features lettering and design by Richard Starkings and Comicraft’s Tyler Smith & Jimmy Betancourt. Nikita Kannekanti and Robert Napton serve as editors.
A “Pacific Rim” prequel TV series is in development at Prime Video from writer Eric Heisserer (Arrival, Bird Box).
