‘Night at the Mall’ Video Game Locks You Inside a Shopping Mall After Hours

Have you ever wanted to spend the night in a shopping mall, Dawn of the Dead style? Video game developer Easewinn wants to help you scratch that itch with Night at the Mall.

Night at the Mall is a first-person, narrative-driven psychological horror game where you take the night shift inside an abandoned shopping mall that refuses to stay still.

Set within a sprawling, decommissioned 1980s-era shopping center, the experience places players in the role of a night-shift security guard. The primary objective of the upcoming horror video game? Navigate the facility to restore power and locate an exit while managing the psychological toll of an environment that exhibits shifting layouts and unsettling phenomena.

You are trapped. The lights are flickering, the doors are locked, and the static mannequins seem to be getting closer. You must restore power and find a way out before the mall claims you.

You’ll be able to pick up, rotate, and inspect 3D objects in detail to find hidden keys, codes, and lore. Every item tells a story, and some may hold the secrets to your survival.

The developers preview, “Paranoia is your enemy. The entities in this mall follow their own rules. Experience dynamic scares where mannequins change positions when your back is turned or when you look away. Keep your eyes open; looking away might be your last mistake.”
