New ‘Vorax’ Trailer Shows off More Grotesque Monsters and Gameplay [Video]

Ahead of its appearance at Gamescom, IndieGala has released a new trailer for their upcoming Survival Horror title Vorax. The new trailer shows off more of Vorax‘s gameplay, as well as a bit of character development with the snarky merc main protagonist.

This new trailer for Vorax starts off pretty normal with your character dropping a bit of exposition as to how they ended up on the Mediterranean island, but quickly turns dark and bloody before launching into the gameplay, which is equally dark and bloody. We’re also treated to more shots of the former residents of the island, who thanks to the pathogen running rampant on the island, have been turned into horrifying monstrosities.

Over on the game’s Steam page, the team also dropped another update for Vorax, though this one focuses on the game’s environments, the Uzi submachine gun that will become your best friend in fending off the monsters, as well as hinting at more reveals to come.

Pegged as a darker take on Sons of the Forest, Vorax is set on a Mediterranean island that’s been overtaken by a mysterious pathogen that’s turned the local populace into horrifying monsters. An army battalion sent to quarantine the population has gone missing, so the government sends you in to investigate. Your helicopter crashes on the island, stranding you with low supplies. You’ll need to craft tools, build barricades, fences, and traps as well as find, upgrade, and maintain your shelter to survive while trying to discover the origins of the virus.

Vorax is currently slated for a Q1 2024 release on Steam. There’s also a demo available.
