Dotemu and Auroch Digital have checked in with another video for their upcoming retro-styled FPS Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War!, once again featuring Casper Van Dien as General Johnny Rico. This time, we’re treated to the introduction of the game’s protagonist, Major Samantha “Sammy” Dietz, played by Charlotta Mohlin (“True Blood”, Immortality).
In her first ever appearance, Major Sammy Dietz is interviewed by General Rico to take you behind the scenes of the most realistic depiction of war that’s ever been seen.
Coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, the Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam, Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War! empowers players to choose their path through open area battlefields. The Arachnid menace has spread far from their home planet of Klendathu, and has begun invading human territory across the galaxy.
In this original Starship Troopers story, you play as Dietz, a member of the Mobile Infantry. You’ll explore large-scale environments to discover opportunities to defend zones from onslaughts, dynamite towering bugs and rescue fellow soldiers from an untimely end to their service. With secrets lurking in every stage as well as unlockable firepower and pilotable on-field mecha, you’ll have the Federation’s full support as you clash with a horrifying array of close-range, flying and tanklike warriors ready to tear you from limb to limb.
Relive Dietz’s storied career as you annihilate the Arachnids on their familiar home world of Klendathu, journeying to all new worlds like Planet P and beyond in the game’s streamlined single player campaign. At your disposal are a devastating arsenal of 14 weapons (including the iconic Morita rifle), 11 Tactical Supports and a Mech vehicle in a gloriously gory 3D pixelated combat simulation as you spread liberation across the galaxy.
