Described as Free Solo meets The Silence of the Lambs, the survival thriller releases April 24 on Netflix.
Theron stars as an adrenaline junkie who sets out to conquer a menacing river in Australia, only to become ensnared in a deadly game with a ruthless predator.
Taron Egerton (Carry-On) plays the killer, with Eric Bana (Deliver Us from Evil) rounding out the cast.
Baltasar Kormákur (Everest, 2 Guns) directs from a script by Jeremy Robbins (“The Purge”).
Theron produces alongside Dawn Olmstead, Beth Kono, and AJ Dix via their newly launched media company, Secret Menu.
