NECA Teases New Figure Based on Lon Chaney’s ‘The Phantom of the Opera’

Once again, NECA are coming for your wallets. Kicking off their 31 Nights of Fright, NECA has teased a brand-new figure of Lon Chaney’s Phantom from 1925’s The Phantom of the Opera!

Details for The Phantom are still to come, including whether this figure will be in the same scale as the previously-revealed (and available) figures based on the Universal Classic Monsters, or if it’s in line with NECA’s “Mego” style of figures. The latter line most recently added Adrienne Barbeau’s Stevie Wayne from John Carpenter’s The Fog.

As for what’s to come next during the “month full of teases, first looks, behind the scenes AND MORE“, NECA has teased more figures for its Alien line, but as usual one can only speculate. Personally, I’m hoping that NECA finally shows off a figure for the Gill-man from Creature From The Black Lagoon, or a non-April O’Neil version of The Bride. But, I guess that’s just part of the fun of waiting.

In the meantime, if you’re looking to revisit the 1925 classic, it’s sadly not part of Universal’s upcoming second volume of Universal Classic Monsters: Icons of Horror set (or the first volume), but is available on Blu-Ray from Kino Lorber.
