With Dead by Daylight‘s Haunted by Daylight event in full swing, Behaviour Interactive is reaching back once again in its past for Naughty Bear fans. Previously unveiled during the Haunted by Daylight 2023 live stream, The Trapper’s Naughty Bear outfit, complete with a new Memento Mori, is now available for purchase.
It’s not the first time that Naughty Bear made an appearance in Dead by Daylight. Two years ago during Dead by Daylight‘s fifth anniversary celebrations, players could unlock a charm of Naughty Bear himself from the in-game store.
“This is a fun trip into Behaviour’s history,” says Kirby Taylor, Product Manager on Dead by Daylight. “Back in 2010 we released a game called Naughty Bear, and we’re happy to be bringing him back! The team has put a ton of work into this Outfit, from adjusting nearly all the animations to developing the systems allowing us to support special Outfit-specific Moris. We’ve also added the ‘Visceral’ rarity along with some visual indications in the UI to highlight Outfits with custom Moris!”
The costume completely transforms The Trapper, including swapping his cleaver for Naughty Bear’s machete. Naughty Bear even gets some new voice lines, courtesy of the narrator from the Naughty Bear games. The Mori (a move that lets a Killer completely remove a Survivor from the game without sacrificing them), which you can see in the trailer, also hearkens back to the original game.
The Haunted by Daylight 2023 event for Dead by Daylight will run until November 6th.
