Bloody Disgusting has learned this morning that National Cinema Day returns this summer, and this year the celebration will be taking place nationwide on Sunday, August 27, 2023.

What is National Cinema Day? It’s a nationwide celebration of the movie-going experience, intended to get audiences out to their local theaters to enjoy movies on the big screen.

On August 27 at select theaters nationwide, tickets for every movie, no matter the showtime or the format, will be just $4 each during the National Cinema Day celebration.

The horror movies currently playing on the big screen include…

  • Talk to Me
  • Meg 2: The Trench
  • Haunted Mansion
  • The Last Voyage of the Demeter

Other movies that you’ll be able to see for just $4 on National Cinema Day include Blue Beetle, Barbie, Oppenheimer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, and Gran Turismo.

Visit NationalCinemaDay.org for participating theaters.
