Modder Finally Gives ‘Resident Evil Village’ VR Support for PC [Watch]

Earlier this year, modder Praydog released his VR mods for Capcom’s Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 remakes. And now, they’ve done it again for Capcom’s Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village. Eurogamer received the first look for the upcoming mods for the PC versions of the game, which will be available for free to download.

It’s been a long wait for PC fans, as despite Capcom offering PSVR support for RE7, Capcom never extended the same courtesy to PC fans. Meanwhile, Village hasn’t received any official VR support at all, making this an extra treat.

As you’ll see in the video, Preydog’s mod works almost perfectly for Village, albeit with a few “oddities”. Namely, the fact that you’re carrying Ethan’s infant daughter in the intro, which lends itself to some humourous moments as you can flip her around, seemingly having her glued to your hand. Don’t do this with a real baby.

Nevertheless, Village takes on a whole different level of atmosphere with the mod, which you can eventually snag on Praydog’s github page.

Capcom could eventually extend VR support for Village on their own, so PS4/PS5 fans could experience it themselves at some point. Who knows, it might be included with the game’s first DLC, which is currently in development.
