Ahead of SXSW this weekend, the first teaser footage from Chloe Okuno‘s (V/H/S/94) new horror movie Watcher has arrived, with the teaser trailer coming Tuesday, March 15.
Okuno directed the “Storm Drain” segment in our V/H/S/94, and IFC Midnight will be releasing Watcher on June 3, 2022. Watch the teaser for the teaser below, via Fandango.
Watcher stars Maika Monroe (The Guest, It Follows) as a young woman who moves into a new apartment with her fiancé and is tormented by the feeling that she is being stalked by an unseen watcher in an adjacent building.
Meagan Navarro reviewed Watcher for BD, calling it an “atmospheric and stylish paranoid thriller.” You can also read a lengthy interview with director Chloe Okuno here.
Karl Glusman, Burn Gorman, and Ciubuciu Bogdan Alexandru also star.
Zack Ford wrote the script, and producers include Roy Lee, Steven Schneider, Derek Dauchy, John Finemore, Aaron Kaplan, Mason Novick.
