“Let the Right One In” Has Officially Been Ordered to Series by Showtime

John Ajvide Lindqvist’s novel became the incredible Swedish movie Let the Right One In back in 2008, which spawned the American remake Let Me In just a couple years later. The vampire tale is now headed to the small screen, as we recently learned that Showtime had ordered up a pilot episode of a potential series with Demián Bichir (The Nun) attached to star.

We’ve now learned that the project has officially been ordered to series by Showtime.

The series has been given a 10-episode order. The cast also includes Anika Noni Rose, Grace Gummer, Madison Taylor Baez, Kevin Carroll, Ian Foreman and Jacob Buster.

“The series version centers on Mark (Bichir) and his daughter Eleanor (Baez), whose lives were changed forever 10 years earlier when she was turned into a vampire. Locked in at age 12, perhaps forever, Eleanor lives a closed-in life, able to go out only at night, while her father does his best to provide her with the human blood she needs to stay alive.”

Andrew Hinderaker (Away) is the showrunner, with Seith Mann (Homeland) directing.

The project hails from Tomorrow Studios, who have been trying to get a “Let the Right One In” series off the ground for the last several years now, previously set up at A&E and TNT.
