With Layers of Fear arriving next month, Bloober Team have decided to give fans a taste of what’s to come with a new time-limited demo on Steam. In addition, they’ve also released the cinematic introduction to the reimagined horror experience.
The Layers of Fear demo arrives on May 15, and will be available until May 22nd, allowing players to jump into the first few minutes of the game and experience the game’s opening cinematic video. The video (which you can see below) introduces the story of the Writer, the game’s final protagonist.
If that wasn’t enough, Bloober Team has also announced that they’ll be having a special Steam livestream for Layers of Fear debuting next week. Joining the livestream will be Damian Kocurek, Creative Director of Anshar Studios (which helped co-develop Layers of Fear), who will provide a walkthrough commentary of the demo and engage in a discussion with Laura Bernaś, PR Manager at Bloober Team. The livestream will be available on the game’s Steam page and is scheduled to go live around 8:30 am PT on Monday, May 15th.
Layers of Fear is currently set for a June 2023 release on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series. And check out our hands-off preview of the game while you wait.
