Kenan Thompson & Kel Mitchell to Reunite for ‘Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein’

’90s teen comedy duo Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell are gearing up for a monstrous reunion.

Mitchell joined Thompson on his Prime Video talk show “Good Sports” to break the news that they’re working on Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein.

The former Nickelodeon stars will play delivery drivers whose routine drop-off takes a terrifying turn when they arrive at a creepy, out-of-place castle and accidentally awaken Frankenstein’s monster — turning an ordinary night into a fight for survival.

Jonah Feingold (At Midnight) is writing the horror comedy, which pays homage to the classic Abbott and Costello Meet… films.

“Kel and I have always loved finding new ways to work together, and this project felt like the perfect mix of nostalgia, comedy, and something completely unexpected,” said Thompson. “We’re excited to bring a fresh take on a classic monster story and have some fun doing it.”

“Coming back together always feels natural, and this lets us tap into everything people love about our dynamic while trying something totally new,” added Mitchell. “It’s funny, it’s scary, and it’s a great ride.”’

Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein is set to begin filming this summer from Thompson’s Artists for Artists and Range Media Partners.

Thompson and Mitchell are producing alongside John Ryan Jr., Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, and Carter Swan, with Will Hariton, Azim Spicer, and Monica Weber executive producing. Range Media is handling sales.

Thompson and Mitchell first met on children’s sketch comedy show “All That” before teaming up on the sitcom “Kenan & Kel” and co-starring in the “All That” spinoff feature Good Burger. Thompson went on to “Saturday Night Live,” but he re-teamed with Mitchell for Good Burger 2 in 2023.

Thompson is also producing the upcoming Sleepaway Camp remake.
