Wi-Fi, uh, finds a way in Xfinity’s Super Bowl commercial, in which Jurassic Park stars Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum reprise their iconic roles as Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler, and Ian Malcolm, respectively.
Directed by Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok, What We Do in the Shadows), the extended spot is playing below, along with a making-of featurette. A one-minute version of the ad will air during the big game on Sunday.
“These characters are like relatives to us,” says Dern. “It just comes out as that person that you’ve known for so many years. Getting to be with Ian Malcolm and Dr. Alan Grant is heaven.”
“It’s like not even a day has gone by,” comments Goldblum. “That’s what it feels like to me when I look into the eyes of Laura Dern and Sam Neill.”
“It’s 33 years since we shot the first one,” adds Neill. “Of course, Jeff and Laura are friends. We don’t see each other enough, so the chance of a little reunion sounds good.”
Neill, Dern, and Goldblum previously reunited in 2022’s Jurassic World Dominion, the franchise’s sixth installment.
