Join Jason Jenkins for a Signing of the New Book ‘Phantom Limbs’ at Dark Delicacies on March 30th

As we revealed back in January, Encyclopocalypse Publications will be bringing Jason Jenkins’ non-fiction horror book Phantom Limbs to print on April 2nd.

Based upon one of Bloody Disgusting’s longest running and most successful columnsPhantom Limbs provides a treasure trove of insights into the best horror franchise movies NEVER made.

BD has learned that Dark Delicacies will be hosting a signing of Phantom Limbs with Jenkins in attendance, along with a number of the creatives he interviewed for the various chapters in the book. To be held on Saturday, March 30th at 3pm, this event will feature Kevin Bocarde (the Chopping Mall remake), Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski (Hellraiser), Andrew Divoff (Wishmaster III: The Third Millenium), Michael January (Psycho II: The Return of Norman Bates), Alex Litvak (Predators: Clan War), Adam Marcus and Debra Sullivan (The Plantation), Scott Milam (Texas Chainsaw II), Nick Principe (Laid to Rest: Exhumed), Jeffrey Reddick (unproduced Hitcher remake), and Jayson Rothwell (Silent Night 2).

Copies can be preordered at the Dark Delicacies website now.

“I’ve always been drawn to the stories behind unmade movies,” says Jenkins, “going all the way back to my early days as a horror nerd reading about Peter Jackson’s unrealized Nightmare on Elm Street sequel in an old Fangoria back in the 90s. It’s a pleasure and a privilege to be able to speak with so many brilliant creatives about their own unproduced genre works and to help usher their stories along to fellow fans.”

Featuring lengthy interviews, detailed synopses and concept artwork/posters, Phantom Limbs will cover unmade extensions to popular horror franchises such as Halloween, Predator, Psycho, Resident Evil, Saw, The Shining, and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. This initial volume will also include chats with such genre luminaries as Mike Flanagan, Mick Garris, Alan B. McElroy, Jeffrey Reddick, Stephen Susco, and many others!

Sean Duregger, Managing Editor of Encyclopocalypse, said in a statement, “Mark Alan Miller and I adored Jason’s column at Bloody Disgusting and it’s been a treat bringing it to horror fans in the expanded form only a book can give you. I’m personally excited to add this alongside all of my other revered Horror Nonfiction on my bookshelf.”
