“Interview with the Vampire” Season 2 – New Image Previews the Return of Lestat de Lioncourt

AMC’s “Interview with the Vampire” Season 2 is coming in 2024, and TV Insider has debuted the very first image of Sam Reid as the vampire Lestat from the upcoming season.

The series, which debuted last year, is a “modern, unforgettable retelling of Anne Rice’s best-selling novel.” Rolin Jones (“Friday Night Lights”) serves as the showrunner.

A sensuous, contemporary reinvention of Anne Rice’s revolutionary gothic novel, Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire follows Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson), Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid) and Claudia’s (Delainey Hayles) epic story of love, blood, and the perils of immortality, as told to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian).”

TV Insider previews, “Season 2 will see Louis and Claudia in Paris, far from New Orleans and Lestat, whom was left just barely alive after Claudia fed him the blood of the dead and Louis slit his throat. Louis couldn’t burn Lestat’s body and bring his immortal life to an end. He threw him in his coffin that locked from the inside instead, and the coffin was schlepped to the dump when the trash was taken out. There, Lestat revived himself on the blood of rats.”

Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe only continues to grow, with new seasons of “Interview with the Vampire,” “Mayfair Witches,” and a spinoff centered around the Talamasca in the works.
