[Image] Christina Ricci Escapes ‘Monstrous’ Abuse in Chris Sivertson’s Monster Movie

The Lost, All Cheerleaders Die and I Know Who Killed Me‘s Chris Sivertson is back and this time he’s joined by Christina Ricci, best known to us horror fans as Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family films from the 1990s.

ScreenDaily shared the above first look at Ricci, who of course also appeared in Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow movie and more recently Quibi’s “50 States of Fright”, in Monstrous as a traumatized woman fleeing from her abusive ex-husband with her 7-year-old son. In their new, remote sanctuary they find they have a bigger, more terrifying monster to deal with.

Colleen Camp (Police Academy, Clue, “The Twilight Zone”) costars.

Monstrous comes in partnership with Screen Media, a Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment company, and Clay Epstein’s Film Mode Entertainment.

“[Writer] Carol Chrest created an iconic genre character who Christina Ricci brings to life in a mesmerizing and deeply emotional performance,” said Sivertson in the film’s initial announcement.

Principal Photography took place last December in Los Angeles, CA throughout Simi Valley, Sherman Oaks and Altadena.
