Hulu Original ‘Clock’ Trailer Questions Time with Psychological Thrills

Ahead of its World Premiere at the Overlook Film Festival, upcoming psychological thriller Clock from 20th Digital Studio and Hulu Originals debuts its first trailer for the “timely horror feature.”

The film tells the story “of a woman who enrolls in a clinical trial to try and fix her seemingly broken biological clock after friends, family, and society pressures her to have children.”

Dianna Agron (Shiva BabyI Am Number Four) leads as Ella, with Jay Ali (“Carnival Row,” “Daredevil”) as her husband. Melora Hardin (“The Office,” “Falling Skies”) features as the pioneering doctor managing Ella’s treatment.

Arachnophobes beware. The brand-new trailer for the Hulu Original below introduces Ella as a woman positive that her biological clock is broken, and attempts to “fix” it appears to come with spiders, paranoia, and psychological terror. Is Ella surrounded by people who mean her harm, or is she cracking under the pressure?

Clock‘s tagline ominously reads, “It’s counting down for a reason.”

Hulu’s psychological thriller will make its World Premiere at the Overlook Film Festival in New Orleans, La., from March 30 through April 2. The film will debut exclusively on Hulu on April 28, 2023, and on Disney+ internationally at a later date.

Clock was written and directed by Alexis Jacknow, who previously helmed short films “Clock” and “Costume Change” for the first season of 20th Digital Studio’s “Bite Size Halloween.” Both shorts were filmed under heavy COVID-19 restrictions in 2020 for the first season of 20th Digital Studio’s “Bite Size Halloween.” The feature adaptation of “Clock” is part of the studio’s existing slate of Original horror features for Hulu, including GrimcuttyMatriarch, and the upcoming Appendage and The Mill.

Jacknow’s feature was developed by 20th Digital Studio with David Worthen Brooks, Arbi Pedrossian, and Jenna Cavelle as executive producers. Leal Naim serves as producer, with Alex Hansen co-producing.
