Replacing the previously cast Samara Weaving (Ready or Not), Happy Death Day star Jessica Rothe will now star in action thriller Boy Kills World, THR reports this afternoon.
The impressive cast also includes Bill Skarsgård (IT), Yayan Ruhian (John Wick 3, The Raid: Redemption), Andrew Koji (Warrior, Snake Eyes) and Isaiah Mustafa (It: Chapter Two).
Moritz Mohr is directing the movie, which begins production next month. Boy Kills World is said to be a “one-of-a-kind action spectacle set in a dystopian fever dream reality.”
“Boy (Skarsgård) is a deaf-mute with a vibrant imagination. When his family is murdered, Boy escapes to the jungle and is trained by a mysterious shaman to repress his childish imagination and become an instrument of death.”
Sam Raimi is producing the film alongside Roy Lee.
