Guillermo del Toro‘s next movie is titled Nightmare Alley, and Searchlight Pictures had been planning a release in theaters on December 3. That date has slightly shifted this week.
Nightmare Alley will now release only in theaters on December 17, 2021.

The movie adapts the novel by William Lindsay Gresham.
Published in 1946, the novel spawned its first feature film just one year later starring Tyrone Power and Joan Blondell, and this new take was written by del Toro and Kim Morgan.
