Legendary’s Monsterverse returns to the big screen on March 29 with Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, and we’ve been promised a brand new trailer on Wednesday, February 14.

“There’s a bit of a truce — Godzilla’s in control of the surface world and Kong is down in Hollow Earth,” director Adam Wingard tells Empire of the film’s storyline.
Wingard also explains, “The buddy-cop dysfunctional relationship dynamic is probably the best one to describe Godzilla and Kong. My influences are always embedded with the ‘80s, and the ‘80s were prime for [that] storyline. There’s a lot of misunderstanding – the way that the monsters communicate isn’t straightforward.”
Rebecca Hall is back as Dr. Ilene Andrews with Brian Tyree Henry also returning as Bernie Hayes, and they’ll be joined in Godzilla x Kong by Dan Stevens (The Guest).
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is the thrilling fifth film in the Monsterverse series and sees the legendary Titans Godzilla and Kong team up to face a world-ending threat so terrifying that neither could survive alone.
Adam Wingard (who previously helmed Godzilla vs. Kong) directs Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, which features a screenplay by Simon Barrett (You’re Next, The Guest).
