Sam Raimi is back in the first full clip from Marvel’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, wherein Doctor Strange does battle with a Kaiju adversary named Gargantos!
There’s a real sense of Raimi-style fun to this clip, giving us hope that Marvel let one of Hollywood’s most unique filmmakers run free with his own vision for the horror sequel.
It’s good to see Raimi playing with monsters again. Meet Gargantos below, a sea monster character who first appeared in the world of Marvel Comics way back in 1969!
Marvel’s Kevin Feige recently noted in an interview that Raimi’s Doctor Strange 2 will “make fans of Evil Dead II very happy,” which was needless to say beautiful music to our ears.
